The Future of PFCCO-Visayas Begins with a Promise Featured
Every great journey starts with a promise.

For the newly elected and appointed officers of PFCCO-Visayas for the 2026–2027 term, that promise was made not through words alone, but through an oath—a solemn commitment to lead with integrity, serve with purpose, and uphold the values that have long defined the cooperative movement.

During the Induction and Oath-Taking Ceremony conducted by Hon. Pros. May Flor V. Duka, a new generation of leaders officially stepped forward to accept the responsibility of guiding PFCCO-Visayas into its next chapter.

But the ceremony was about more than taking an oath.

It was about accepting the challenge of leadership in a rapidly changing world.

Today, cooperatives face evolving member needs, technological advancements, economic uncertainties, and increasing demands for transparency and accountability. Navigating these challenges requires leaders who are not only capable decision-makers but also visionaries who understand that every policy, every program, and every action ultimately impacts the lives of cooperative members and their communities.

As each officer stood before colleagues and stakeholders, the oath symbolized a shared commitment to these responsibilities. It served as a reminder that leadership is not measured by authority, but by service. The true strength of a cooperative leader lies in the ability to unite people around a common vision, inspire confidence, and make decisions that prioritize the welfare of members above all else.

The induction also marked a transition from aspiration to action. The officers now carry the task of strengthening PFCCO-Visayas' role as a partner and advocate for cooperatives across the region. Their leadership will help shape initiatives that promote growth, sustainability, innovation, and resilience within the cooperative sector.

Hon. Pros. May Flor V. Duka challenged the newly inducted officers to embrace their roles with dedication and humility. She emphasized that leadership within the cooperative movement is unique because it is anchored on democratic participation, shared ownership, and a genuine commitment to community development.

The cooperative movement has always been powered by individuals willing to step forward and serve. Throughout history, cooperatives have thrived because leaders chose collaboration over competition, service over self-interest, and long-term impact over short-term gains.

The officers of PFCCO-Visayas now inherit that legacy.

As they begin their term, they do so with the trust of the members they represent and the opportunity to create meaningful change. Their decisions in the coming years will influence not only the federation's direction but also the strength and success of the cooperatives it serves.

The oath has been taken. The commitment has been made.

Now, the work of leadership begins.

And with it comes the promise of a stronger, more dynamic, and more empowered PFCCO-Visayas for the years ahead.
